Beautiful Jessie Christmas is a high-flying executive at Hamptons, a smart Manhattan advertising agency. Just as she is about to start work on a major new Christmas campaign for the biggest oil company in the world – Rotter’s Oil – she receives news that her long-lost Auntie Christmas has died and has left her the old family oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico.

Reluctantly, she takes a week off to visit her new oil rig so she can begin the process of selling it to an oil company. When she arrives at the oil rig though, she finds that it isn’t just any oil rig, it’s a Christmas oil rig!

She is greeted by hunky Blaze Davenport – her high-school sweetheart. They split up after Jessie left the small town where they both grew up to attend a fancy advertising college in New York. Blaze went on to study locally and became a genius who could do anything, but chose to work for Auntie Christmas because he believed in the principles of her Christmas oil rig.

Blaze shows her round the Christmas oil rig and she begins to fall in love with it and its simple traditional Christmas values. She vows not to sell it after all, but keep it in the family where it belongs and run it forever in the spirit of Christmas.

She returns to Manhattan to prepare her Christmas campaign for Rotter’s oil. But, whilst working late, her boss drops into her office to let her know that the campaign needs to change a little to reflect a new oil rig that will Rotter’s Oil are set to acquire. Her Christmas Oil Rig. Rotter’s Oil are planning a corporate takeover!

Torn between her dreams of advertising success and her love for the Christmas oil rig, she returns to her chic Manhattan apartment and falls into a troubled sleep.

The next morning, she heads into the big presentation of the Rotter’s Oil Campaign. But, instead of a glowing promotion of Rotter’s Oil refining triumphs, the presentation reveals that it is terrible and corrupt, it kills seals and doesn’t upload the values of Christmas. Shamed by her powerful words, the Rotter’s Oil executives abandon plans to take over the Christmas oil rig and go away to think about what they’ve done.

Jessie quits her advertising job and goes to live with Blaze on the Christmas Oil Rig where she vows to uphold the values of Christmas oil production forever more.
