Marvel has announced that the kid from Iron Man 3 will get his own Disney+ spin-off series, because why not? People will watch literally anything with ‘Marvel’ in the opening credits.
“I don’t know man, it’s like crack, isn’t it? People are desperate for this Marvel stuff,” chuckled Marvel boss Kevin Feige as he sat on a big pile of money.
“So, I figure that, you know, before the bubble bursts, may as well pump out as many of these TV shows as possible. So, yeah, the kid from Iron Man 3, let’s go.”
The plot will pick up the kid from Iron Man 3’s life eight years after the events of the film when he became friends with Tony Stark for a couple of days.
“Yeah, the kid’s, what, eighteen? Twenty? Something like that. So, we’ll probably do something where he’s a bit of a loser at college who doesn’t have any friends, but then he finds a bit of technology that Tony left behind – a space motorbike? A magic computer shoe? Something like that.
“Using that whatever it is, he becomes the envy of everyone at college and gets a hot girlfriend and then everything’s great, but then is he really being true to himself? That sort of thing.
“Then we’ll finish up at prom. Do they have prom at college? Ah, doesn’t matter, people will watch it anyway.”
The show is expected to follow the standard Disney+ formula of 30 minutes of action followed by 20 minutes of title sequence.
Should it prove as successful, then it’ll only encourage them and it seems likely we could expect a Disney+ TV series based on Doctor Strange’s friend’s hospital, another one with Nick Fury’s brother-in-law who has a trampoline rental business, and, most outlandishly of all, a series about the Hulk.

Hollywood considering letting another woman direct something
It is understood that the movie industry is considering letting another woman direct a film.
Although discussions are still at an early stage, indications are that all the men in charge are open to one of the several hundred films made this year being directed by a woman.
Obviously, the woman would, as is traditional, be required to surround herself with a largely male crew to makes sure she doesn’t get herself in a tizzy and accidentally spend the entire budget on soft furnishings and Adele cds.
“It’s something that’s being considered,” said a Hollywood insider.
“If it’s a film that concerns itself with womanly topics such as ponies or menstruation then perhaps we will think about letting a well-supervised girl try her hand at directing it.
Previous experiments with letting women direct films have resulted in the likes of The Hurt Locker, Lady Bird, and Wonder Woman.
Although very well regarded films, it is impossible to know if they would have been even more well regarded if a man had directed them, as would be normal.
“Whilst certainly those are tremendous pictures, and those ladies did really pretty well,” continued the insider.
“Its important not to forget that some credit has to go to the men who made the bold decision to let those films be directed by a woman.”
It is expected that if a woman were to be allowed to direct a film this year, and it isn’t a disaster, then perhaps in another year or two Hollywood will consider letting another woman direct something.
