Following years of controversy and confusion, Chris Evans has finally made it clear that he’s not that Chris Evans.
“Having two Chris Evans in the public sphere has proved confusing, so I thought I’d clear up once and for all, I’m Chris Evans, I’m not that Chris Evans,” said Chris Evans.
“Naturally, I mean no disrespect to that Chris Evans, I’ve got loads of respect for him and I think he really is the best at what he does. The key thing here is that I’m not that Chris Evans.”
Fans have reacted well to Chris’s announcement.
“That’s good that is, because sometimes it can be a bit confusing,” said Chris Evans, a Chris Evans superfan who has changed her name by deed poll to Chris Evans.
“I mean, I love Chris Evans, I think he’s amazing, so it can be a bit annoying when I’ve been talking about Chris Evans for a while and people think I’ve been talking about that Chris Evans and I’m like ‘God, No. Not that Chris Evans.’
“Also, just on a practical level. I’ve driven 72 miles to a Chris Evans convention to spend a day with other Chris Evans enthusiasts, only to find out that it was that Chris Evans, not, you know, Chris Evans.
“And I’m even a member of that Chris Evans fan club. Hopefully, now Chris has confirmed that he’s not that Chris Evans, they’ll finally let me quit and give me my money back.”
Chris Evans has yet to comment on Chris Evans’ announcement, but it is thought he will welcome it as he has, in the past, been a little prickly at having to confirm that he’s not that Chris Evans.
