Chris was raised by a swarm of fireflies in a remote part of Boston. His unusual childhood gave him the unique ability to set himself on fire (the method by which fireflies generate light. Probably). Hollywood immediately saw his potential and cast him in the role of Human Torch in the Fantastic Four films. The moderate success of those films gave him power to demand superhero roles in which he didn’t have to be on fire, and he finally won the role of Captain America, for which he will ever be known.
