Weekend Film Guide 4th May

Spice

It’s the Bank Holiday. A long weekend stretching before you full of possibility and potential.

So why not spend it on the sofa, eating Frosties straight from the box, and watching these great films.

Friday

The Bourne Identity 22.00 ITV4.

Matt Damon duffs up a foreigner with a magazine. Possibly Loaded. It was 2002.

The Day After Tomorrow 18.40 Film4.

America gets invaded by weather. Dennis Quaid plays a man who inexplicably walks across weathery America because his son is trapped in a library. None of it makes any sense and the wolf effects look like I did them.

Cracking movie.

Rage at Dawn 12.50 Film4.

What’s Dawn ever done to you?

Saturday

Casablanca 15.00 ITV3.

Hapless pub owner fails to pull ex.

The Transporter 21.00 E4.

*Statham klaxon*

Jase does a bit of transporting. Probably involves more punching than your average transporting work.

The Commandos Strike at Dawn 16.35 Movies4Men.

Leave Dawn alone!

Sunday

The Lost World 18.35 Horror Channel.

It’s always in the last place you look.

Lord of the Rings: Return of the King 18.10 ITV2

Just in case you missed it when it was on over every other weekend in history.

Carolina Moon 23.00 True Entertainment.

Someone gets their arse out on the east coast of America.

Bank Holiday Monday

Tinker Bell and the Legend of the NeverBeast 09.00 BBC2

If you’ve got spectacularly undemanding children, this might get you a bit of a lie-in.

Fight Club 23.25 5*

The best film ever if you’re a pretentious teenage boy with rubbish music taste.

Spice World 16.45 Sony Movie Channel.

Cinnamon spice was my favourite.
