Tom Hardy 2013 suspense classic Locke is getting a surprise sequel which will be set entirely on the toilet.
The original film featured Tom Hardy as a building site boss fielding an increasingly tense series of phone calls using a convincing Welsh accent as he drives through the night.
The follow up will feature the same character who finds himself forced to spend ninety minutes on the toilet after a disastrous gamble with an out-of-date prawn enchilada.
During that time, he will have to organise sourcing a set of swings for a major project to re-concrete the local playground, try and book a table for his family at Pizza Hut, renegotiate his broadband contract, and complete a particularly tricky Candy Crush level.
“Its long been an ambition of mine to make a film about a man with a convincing Welsh accent trapped in the toilet,” said Star Tom Hardy.
“So, this Locke sequel is perfect. I mean, I’m hugely proud of the original and, frankly, the only way to improve on it is to set the entire thing in a toilet.”
Following the surprise success of the original Locke, the sequel will see an increase in budget.
“Yeah, I think that will really come through in the film’s production values,” said a clearly excited Hardy
“If nothing else, it’ll be a really, really nice toilet.”
