Videogame companies throughout the world are considering getting back to work and actually making some new games.
Having not released a game of any note since Pokemon in November, it is understood that videogame companies are starting to think that they’ve had a long enough rest and perhaps they should start thinking about putting something new out in March or April.
“Well you know, people had that Pokemon, the Star Wars game, that mad one about being a postman in the future and anyway, all the kids are still playing Fortnite, so we figured we could have a few months off,” explained leading game designer Kelly Grace.
“It’s been lovely, we’ve all been to EuroDisney, caught up on some boxsets – The Stranger was good, and I’ve even had a conservatory put in. Very nice.”
However, Ms Grace conceded that it was probably time to get back to work.
“Yes, might be time to head back into the office and see about doing some new videogames,” she said.
“Hope I can remember what my password is.”
It is hoped that the new games will provide a breadth of vision and creativity that will really capture the imaginations of gamers who have been starved of something new and interesting to play for several months.
“Yeah, that’s definitely an option,” agreed Ms Grace.
“On the other hand, we could just bang out a couple of remasters and an incomprehensible competitive shooter that no one will play before taking summer off and coming back when the PS5 is out.
“I wonder how much flights to Tahiti would cost.”
