Tough executive returns to home town, sells Grandma’s magic Christmas lodge, gets on with life

A tough businesswoman has briefly returned to her idyllic home town to sell her Grandma’s magic Christmas Lodge to a conglomerate that will convert it into high-end apartments.

After securing the sale, Misty Hardnose returned to Manhattan office where she attended a Christmas Eve board meeting and agreed over 300 hundred redundancies in the wake of a switch to automation in the New Year.

“What a little bitch,” said Ms Hardnose’s eccentric Great-Aunt, who whittles souvenir Christmas decorations out of dried moose-droppings.

“You’d have thought she’d have taken the time to visit with me while she was in town and then, before she signed anything, I could have taken her to the town Christmas fayre that she so loved as a little girl.

“I mean, that’s magical as hell, we spell it with a ‘y’ and an ‘e.’

“After that, her tough heart might have melted a little and she could have spent time walking round the magic Christmas lodge by candlelight as a choir sang carols outdoors, rekindling memories of childhood Christmases past.

“But no, she just signed the damn papers and left.”

Local hunk Johnny Beefcake runs the toy store and never left the town after graduating because he always felt like, darn it, he just belonged there.

“I was hoping to go for a nostalgic walk through the forest and, as we sipped on Ma Dawson’s homemade hot chocolate, we might reconnect after ten years apart and share a moonlight kiss as soft snow gently began to fall all around us.

“And then we’d maybe f**k.

“But she didn’t even recognise me as her limo drove past the store.”

It is understood that, on returning home to her Tribeca apartment, a magical Christmas tree had appeared in the living room, so Ms Hardnose threw it in the trash and reported the janitor to the block management company.
