Details of the final season of Netflix’s The Crown have been leaked and reveal that it will be a combination of Gogglebox and a clips show as Her Majesty and her extended family binge-watch the earlier seasons over the course of a long weekend.
The series will be a fascinating insight into how a modern monarch binge-watches things on Netflix.
“Oh. we’ve researched it meticulously,” explained creator Peter Morgan.
“The Queen lies on the sofa with her head resting on a corgi and a big bowl of Revels balanced on her stomach. A servant has, naturally, picked out all the orange creams.
“The rest of the family share another sofa and have to bring their own snacks.”
The season begins with Britain’s favourite living monarch calling her subject and son Charles to the sofa with news that an exciting new drama has started on Netflix.
The series will comprise of clips of earlier episodes with the Queen occasionally going ‘oh, I remember that. Didn’t I handle that situation wisely?’
“Yes, that’s a direct quote from when the Queen spent several days last year binge-watching old Royal Weddings,” continued Morgan.
Each episode will tackle a different season of the Crown, with the initial two series being particularly well-received by the family and various assertions that ‘the proles used to have a bit of bloody respect.’
The third episode will see an outraged Queen claiming that producers ‘deliberately made Olivia Coleman look dumpier.’
Episode four will deal with a potential legal and constitutional crisis when the Queen, having watched the entirety of season 4, demands that Morgan is beheaded for ‘being a sneaky little s**t and being horrible to the Queen.’

Ridley Scott to receive Bafta Fellowship award for having a really lovely beard
Cinema legend Ridley Scott is to be honoured at the forthcoming Bafta ceremony with a much-coveted Fellowship award for having a really lovely beard.
The Fellowship award for having a really lovely beard is the highest honour that Bafta bestows and Scott will be joining previous winners such as Stephen Spielberg, Richard Attenborough, and Dame Maggie Smith.
“Sir Ridley is one of the finest film-makers alive today, and he has a really nice beard,” said Bafta Chairman John Willis.
“If anything, the award is overdue.”
Ridley Scott’s combination of a nice beard and a back catalogue of films that includes Blade Runner, Alien, and that one with Demi Moore when she shaves her head has proved an inspiration for countless young filmmakers.
“Yeah, I saw the beard first and I really liked it,” said Oscar-nominated Greta Gerwig.
“Then I watched Black Hawk Down and was just blown away.
“It was that combination of a realistic depiction of modern warfare and lovely, lovely beard that made me go ‘I’m going to write a charming and heartfelt coming-of-age film that will do pretty well at the Golden Globes.’”
Scott will be presented with the award at the ceremony on 8th February.
