Josh Brolin’s iconic Thanos is to be an unconventional cop in a new spin-off TV series from Marvel.

Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, Thanos will be left to rebuild his life on earth and decides that, in order to make amends for eliminating half of the universe, he should join his local police department.

“Yeah, it’s sort of a buddy-cop comedy with a heart,” said producer Kevin Feige.

“Thanos is teamed up with this straight-laced, by-the-book type policewoman called Carol and they fight crime.

“So, you know, they’ll be tracking down this bank robber and they’ll have him cornered and Thanos will be all like – ‘Hey, I’ll use the infinity stones to destroy half of humanity, and the bank robber might be in that half’ – and Carol’s all – ‘No, no, using infinity stones to destroy half of humanity isn’t proper procedure.’

“You know, funny stuff, right?”

However, despite being mismatched, the unlikely partners will become friends and each finds themselves learning from the other.

“Oh sure,” said Feige.

“That’s what I mean about heart.

“Carol teaches Thanos that you can sometimes solve problems with old-fashioned policework and Thanos teaches Carol that sometimes destroying half of humanity is the best course of action.”

Feige remained tight-lipped about the possibilities of romance happening.

“Hey, I can’t give everything away here. But, you know, she’s an attractive woman, he’s a crazy-ass space-god – anything could happen.”

Thanos: Life on the Streets currently has no release date, but if its successful then there are rumours CSI: Wakanda could follow soon after.
