There was excitement as new images from the upcoming Terminator reboot appeared online showing the legendary Sarah Connor’s return to the franchise.
However, there was confusion and surprise at the decision to depict an older Sarah Connor not as a battle-hardened warrior, but instead as a lovely silver-haired old granny who gives everyone a nice sweet.
“Yeah, it’s great to see Linda Hamilton back as Sarah Connor,” said Barry Terminator who, coincidentally, has the same surname as his favourite movie franchise.
“Personally, I would have preferred to see her wearing shades and smoking a cigar with a machine gun in each hand mowing down an army of cyborgs from the future.
“But, having her as a nice old lady sat on the porch in a rocking chair and doing some crocheting is fine too.
“Perhaps she could be crocheting a scene of someone mowing down an army of cyborgs from the future? That’s just a suggestion.”
Although there has been some criticism of depicting Sarah Connor as a lovely old granny, the online community have, by and large, agreed that it’s still less stupid than making the Terminator Daenerys Targaryen’s dad and having her call him ‘Pops.’
