Technological advances mean new film will see grumpiest Batman yet

Producers have claimed that recent advancements in film technology will see the grumpiest Batman ever depicted on screen in the upcoming film.

The new Batman film has cast Robert Pattinson in the titular role and he is understood to have received special grumpiness coaching from Bruce Willis and Clint Eastward for several months prior to production starting.

However, producers are promising technological advances that will take the character’s grumpiness to whole new levels.

“I think people are going to be blown away by how grumpy our Batman is,” said producer Kelly Grace.

“It’s pretty incredible. When you think of how grumpy Christian [Bale] was in the Nolan pictures, you think that would be the grumpiest Batman ever, right? You simply couldn’t get a grumpier Batman, right?

“Robert makes him look like Marty McFly.”

Grace went on to explain the technology used.

“Voice modulation that drops Robert’s voice by about six octaves, so that his voice is so grumpy it’s actually painful for humans to listen to.

“Digital brow furrowing. Humans just aren’t capable of furrowing their brows enough for the levels of grumpiness required to accurately portray Batman, but with this new digital brow furrowing technique, we can furrow his brow so much that his eyebrows are beneath his nose.

“And, we’ve soundtracked the whole film with Leonard Cohen songs.”

Batman’s first screen appearance came in the colourful 1960’s TV show which was criticised for not being remotely grumpy. Next came 1989’s Batman in which Michael Keaton was quite grumpy, but a funky Prince soundtrack and Jack Nicolson being wacky tempered the grumpiness. Christian Bale’s famously grumpy take on Batman was hailed by grumpiness experts as a breakthrough portrayal of being grumpy.

It seems this new take on Batman could eclipse even that.

The plot of the new film is currently unknown, but it is expected that it will feature Batman saving Gotham city by using his special power of being grumpy.
