Events at the Senate enquiry into the Cambridge Analytica scandal took a turn for the dramatic as a senator passionately demanded that Facebook chief Mark Zuckerberg apologise for the events of WarGames.

Matthew Sheedy, the 126 year old senator from somewhere improbable, launched a blistering attack on Zuckerberg for allowing the world to come to the brink of nuclear war.

“Using all manner of Facebooks, modems and Internets, this young boy was able to breach US military security protocols and almost launch a nuclear attack by playing tic-tac-toe,” thundered Mr Sheedy.

“I think that you, Mr Zuckerberg, owe the American people, nay, the population of the world, an apology.”

Mr Zuckerberg looked confused.

“Sir,” said the young CEO.

“I think you are referring to a fictional film that was made before I was born.”

The Senator would not be dissuaded.

“That is no excuse,” he shouted, his fury clearly visible.

“Your fancy ways put the world at risk.”

“Also, this message keeps popping up on my screen asking if I want to meet hot young Russian girls.”

“I don’t, and when I do, I’ll do so without your damn help.”

It is expected that the Senator also intends to call Mr Zuckerberg back before Congress to ascertain exactly how responsible he was for the AI that led to the creation of The Matrix.
