Due to a hugely successful re-release in China, Patrick Swayze bouncer classic Road House has improved its box office tally enough to usurp Avengers: Endgame and become, once again, the most successful film of all time.
Road House was released in 1989 and its combination of Patrick Swayze’s muscles, excellent dancing to blues music and exciting fights saw it quickly become the most successful film in cinema history.
Despite stiff competition from Titanic and Avatar, nothing was able to topple Road House from its position at the top of the all-time box office takings charts until Avengers: Endgame arrived in 2019.
Despite not being anywhere near as good as Road House and not even having a scene in which a truck with huge wheels drives over a load of cars, Avengers: Endgame became the first film in thirty years to supplant Road House’s box office crown.
At the time, the Road House producers publicly acknowledged Endgame’s success, sending a tweet that simply read ‘dicks.’
With Road House’s re-release in China, however, the box office crown has passed back again.
Marvel Studios graciously sent a congratulatory tweet – ‘One day, we at Marvel Studios hope to make a film a quarter as good as Road House but, let’s face it, it’s unlikely that we ever will. So well done to the Road House team. Your picture continues to be an inspiration to all.’
However, despite the renewed success for Road House, with Nicolas Cage’s martial arts vs aliens film Jiu Jitsu and Peter Rabbit 2 set to light up cinemas following the Covid lockdown, it seems unlikely the box office crown will remain in one place for long.

Communist Propaganda secrets of Inside Out
Disney’s ‘Inside Out’ is one of the most critically acclaimed and financially successful films of recent years, but a respected academic has claimed it is actually highly sophisticated communist propaganda for start to finish.
The story features a young girl struggling to cope with a move to a new town, and the little people in her head who try to help.
“The entire concept of a single human soul being governed by a committee is the very essence of communism,” said Professor Jeremy Phat-Beats, who may or who may not have been drinking.
“The film presents this as a highly successful state of affairs.”
“However, we know that in a genuine Communist regime, the committee would have failed and the blue one; Sadness, would have spent the rest of her life in a gulag after having been denounced by the yellow one as a traitor of the people.”
A Disney insider was able to confirm the Professor’s hypothesis.
“Oh yeah, it’s all communist propaganda. Common knowledge,” said Barry Wastage, who cleans the toilets at Disney’s flagship store in London’s Leicester Square.
“Can’t tell you the amount of Russians and Chinese that have been in here and bought Inside Out soft toys. I won’t let my kids go anywhere near it now.”
The Disney corporation has thus far refused to comment on or even acknowledge the accusations. Which some have said is very much a technique of all Communist regimes.
