Review – Loving Vincent

loving vincent

Okay, so it’s this cartoon, yeah? But it’s a painting too.

It’s not funny but, it’s not supposed to be. There’s no, like, cute but wise talking animals either.

It’s a totally weird cartoon.

So, there was this guy, and it was ages ago and he had one ear and was totally a great painter and everything.

But he died, which, you know, if he didn’t, would be mad because he’d be over a hundred years old like some old tortoise painting dude.

But, yeah, so he’s totally dead and there’s this postman and a bunch of stuff happens but I got distracted because I started thinking, right, what if we’re actually all living in a painting?

Because, we wouldn’t know about it would we? We’d just be going about, you know, eating cakes and buying shoes, but we’d be in a painting.

Then I figured that what if this guy, this Vincent dude managed to figure it all out, you know, that we lived in a painting, and that’s why he got angry with his ear.

So now, there’s this film and it totally looks like a painting and it’s about Vincent who figured out that we all lived in a painting and perhaps this is meant to be a warning, you know, about living in a painting.

Then I got hungry and totally went for a beanburger.

Screen Idle star rating ***

Totally great beanburger
