The bad luck that has plagued the production of the latest James Bond film continued this week after a plague of locusts hit the set a day after blood rained from the sky.
The latest problems follow star Daniel Craig breaking his ankle, an on-set explosion, and the loss of Danny Boyle as director.
“Well, we managed to get a brief 20 second reaction shot done after cleaning up the blood before the locusts arrived,” said director Cary Fukunaga, whose face was covered in boils for some reason.
“And I suppose, looking on the bright side, all the blood put the locusts off from doing any real damage to the set and the costumes.”
“But, to be honest, it’s getting everyone down a bit. I mean the locusts, blood and explosions, you don’t expect it on a modern film-set, do you?
“And don’t even get me started on the pestilence. Horrible.”
It is understood that, in an attempt to boost morale, the cast and crew took a trip to the races, but all the horses came in last and when a cameraman bought a scratchcard, it burst into flames.
Rumours that the set was built on an old Indian burial ground are, as yet, unsubstantiated but, frankly, what other explanation could there be?
