The only 30-minute period during the day when there isn’t a tv show about houses is to be filled with a tv show about houses, it has been revealed
The period between 10.45 and 11.15 in the morning has long been seen as unusual as it doesn’t feature a tv show about selling a house, buying a house, doing up a house, looking at a house, going abroad to look at a house or being a house.
It will now be filled with a new programme called Green Door, in which Shakin’ Stevens helps people whose house doesn’t have a green door to get a green door.
Jeremy Phatbeats is a high court judge who often works at home.
“Tremendous news,” he exclaimed.
“As a lifelong licence-fee payer, I expect to be able to turn on my television at any point in the day and see a television programme about someone doing something to their own or someone else’s house.
“Every morning, I open a refreshing can of Tennents Super and turn on the television and, far too often, I’m left disappointed to discover that I’m watching at that strange moment when there’s no show about houses and it’s something about otters or late-life sexual pleasure or some such nonsense.
“I’m glad to know that this is being remedied and that I am never in any danger of not seeing a tv show about houses during the day.”
The news follows on from the recent announcement that the only hour-long slot on BBC2 in the evening without a show about Michael Portillo getting a train somewhere will be filled with a new show about Michael Portillo getting a train somewhere.
