Plans for new shot-for-shot remake of shot-for-shot remake of Psycho

Plans for a new shot-for-shot remake of the shot-for-shot remake of Psycho have been revealed.

“Gus Van Sant’s shot-for-shot remake of a classic film was such a bold and interesting idea, and original and brilliant way of deconstructing the act of filmmaking itself,” explained director Stewart James.

“So, making a shot-for-shot remake of that shot-for-shot remake of Psycho should actually be twice as bold, original and brilliant. I mean, that’s just math. Do a shot-for-shot remake of Psycho – bold, brilliant and original. Do shot-for-shot remake of that shot-for-shot remake of Psycho that’s like the original shot-for-shot remake times two so, yeah, the boldness, brilliance and originality times two.”

Filming is expecting to start quite soon.

“Well, yeah, all the preproduction is pretty much done for us. We’ll just use Gus’s shooting script and his shooting schedule and crack on. We don’t have to worry about that. So, you know, not just bold and brilliant, but frugal as well.”

“If I could get Vince Vaughn back to play Norman, then I wouldn’t even have to direct him! This is going to be so easy. Although, mainly brilliant, bold and original, obviously. But still, really easy.”

If the shot-for-shot remake of the shot-for-shot remake of Psycho proves both critically and artistically successful, then Mr James has an even more bold, original, and brilliant idea for a follow-up

“Yeah, we’ll do a shot-for-shot remake of my shot-for-shot remake of the shot-for-shot remake of Psycho.”
