A new version of the classic The Invisible Man is to feature no one at all in the lead role

Whilst actors as diverse as Warren Beaty, Leonardo Dicaprio, and Jimmy Krankie had been rumoured to want the role, producers have taken the unusual step of not casting anyone.

“Guy’s invisible,” said producer Stewart James.

“What the hell is the point paying Leo eight figures to be in a picture where you don’t see him.”

Mr James has settled on an ingenious solution to not having anyone take the lead role.

“Yeah, okay, so this is smart,” he chuckled.

“What we do is just have all the other guys just talk about this invisible guy, so you have this hot chick and she’s getting undressed to get in the shower and suddenly she goes ‘hey, what’s that?’

“So now, the audience knows that the Invisible man is there, and they’re happy because the hot chick is standing there in her underwear.

“What’s not to love?”

Mr James even has an idea for a potential sequel.

“Sure, The Invisible Men. Plural. Could have an army of them.

“In fact, we make it a trilogy. Final part is The Invisible Town, and there’s just no actors in it at all.

“Except for the hot chick in her underwear, of course.”
