New Matrix film to reveal that all previous Matrix films took place inside the Matrix

The shock new twist of the upcoming Matrix film will be that all the previous Matrix films actually took place within the Matrix itself.

This would mean that Neo, Morpheus and Trinity are nothing more than artificial constructs created by AI to distract humanity from its enslavement by the machines.

“I know, right?” chuckled Lana Wachowski.

“So, the events of those films didn’t ever happen, they were just part of the Matrix, and then, by extension, if the films all took place inside the Matrix then the people who went to see the Matrix films are part of the Matrix itself as well.”

The plot will be based on an incident several years ago when Wachowski was approached by a young woman who claimed that the AI really had enslaved humanity before she was dragged off by mysterious men in suits and never seen again.

“Yeah, it was kind of crazy, but it set me thinking, if the films were part of the Matrix, and then people who went to see them are part of the Matrix then I must be part of the Matrix as well and I’ve either achieved free will to be able to make this new Matrix film or I’m being directed to make it by the AI.

“Either way, it beats trying to make Cloud Atlas 2.”

Of course, if everyone who made the Matrix and went to see the Matrix is actually existing in the Matrix then that would include you, as the reader of this article.
