New Disney+ show about the making of new Disney+ ‘making of’ show

Disney+ has announced another ‘making of’ show that will detail the making of the new ‘making of show.’

Beginning with the initial process of pitching a ‘making of’ show right up to the release of the show, the new ‘making of’ show will detail everything involved in making a ‘making of’ show.

“With only 67 different ‘making of’ shows on Disney+, we felt the time was right for a new ‘making of’ show,” explained producer Stewart James.

“And what more fascinating process to look at than the actual making of a ‘making of’ show.”

The nature of the show led to some strange moments.

“Well, yes, it was a little confusing for everyone when we filmed ourselves pitching the idea to Disney,” said Mr James.

“They were all ‘why are you guys filming this pitch?’ and we explained that it’s for this ‘making of’ show and they were like ‘but we haven’t given you the ahead to make the ‘making of’ show yet? Who’s authorising this?’

“So, we explained that the pitch was an important part of any ‘making of’ show and that hopefully this filming would be authorised in the future, making the filming retrospectively valid. It all got a bit Tenet, to be honest, but it came good in the end.”

That slightly meta, confusing aspect continued throughout the show.

“Yes, it was odd. Have you ever filmed yourself deciding how to film yourself deciding how to film yourself? It gets pretty confusing. To be honest, we lost the thread of what was happening ourselves around episode 5, when Evan Peters turns up for some reason.”

The Making of This ‘Making of’ Show will be released later this year and, should it prove as popular as other Disney+ shows, will receive its own ‘making of’ show shortly afterwards.
