Jared Leto, star of the recent divisive film Morbius, has received a call from his Mum saying that the important thing is that he did his best and she loves him regardless.
His mum also told him that she thought that it was very impressive that he even managed to star in a film at all and that he should be very proud of that.
“I know that Jar-jar has had a bit of a difficult time of it lately so I thought he might need a little bit of a pick-me-up from his mum,” explained Jared Leto’s mum.
“Some people have been mean about his Morbius film and I wanted him to know that I thought it was a very good effort, you know, considering it was his first try at being in a film about a grumpy vampire.
“I mean, I don’t think I’d know where to begin playing a grumpy vampire like that, so I think it’s ever so clever of him just to have got it finished at all.”
Mrs Leto confessed that she hadn’t actually watched the whole film yet.
“No, I got twenty minutes in and drifted off to sleep, but I’d stayed up a bit too late the night before so it was probably just that. I’ll definitely try and watch it again. At some point. When I have time.
“But the important thing is Jar-jar did his best.”
