Man to spend 10 weeks saying he’s never heard of any of the celebrities on Strictly this year

A fascinating man is planning on spending the next ten weeks telling people that he’s never heard of any of the contestants on Strictly this year, possibly whilst shaking his head and tutting a little.

Chelmsford man Bruce Statham sat down with his wife to watch the first show and as each celebrity was introduced he stated that he’d ‘never heard of them.’

Occasionally he would opine, during one of the longer dance routines, that ‘honestly, it’s worse than normal this year, I’ve never heard of any of this lot.’

Mr Statham has since made it clear that he’s never heard of any of the contestants on Strictly this year to his Mum, his sister, his colleagues at work, that lad who works in the Spar on Saturdays, the people in his model airplane club, his dominatrix and a bloke he met in the park who seemed quite nice.

Excitingly, Mr Statham intends to use technology to really let as many people as possible know that he’s never heard of any of the contestants on Strictly.

“I’ve got myself Twitter, my brother-in-law set it up for me,” he said proudly

“I’m going to go on that each Saturday evening and tweet about how I’ve never heard of any of them and how I don’t understand why people keep watching it.”

With this new found technological aid, Mr Statham is hoping to broaden his horizons a bit.

“I’ve never really watched that ‘I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here’ before,” he smiled

“But now I’ve got my twitter, I’m hoping I’ll have time to tell people I’ve never heard of any of the celebrities on that as well.”
