A man who enjoyed the new live-action Snow White film is to face trial and prison under laws introduced in the wake of unrest following the lady Ghostbuster film.
Stewart James posted on BlueSky last Thursday ‘Went to see that new Snow White film. It was actually alright.’
The police confirmed the arrest.
“A man in his thirties was taken into custody on suspicion of enjoying the new Snow White film, which men on the internet has decided is definitely a load of rubbish,” said a police spokesman.
It is the first arrest under legislation to prevent the sort of aberrant behaviour caused by the 2016 Ghostbusters film which controversially replaced men with women.
“In 2016, men on the internet had decided that the Ghostbusters film was a terrible, terrible thing and that no one should ever like it,” explained film expert Kelly Grace.
“But the problem was, we started seeing people saying that they did actually quite like the film and defying the will of the men on the internet and there was nothing anyone could do. Astonishingly, it was perfectly legal to disagree with all the men on the internet.
“Lawmakers immediately moved to put a stop to that, introducing a series of laws that would mean anyone defying the men on the internet could be arrested and sent to prison.
“This is the first example we’re seeing of that law in action. The men on the Internet have decided that the new Snow White film is bad. This person claimed to enjoy it so he’s, rightly, been arrested and will now face prison.”
It is expected that the legislation will almost certainly next be used following the release of the new Superman film, which the men on the Internet have decided will not be very good.
To be honest though, that film looks fine to me and it might even be better than- excuse me, I need to end this article now as the police seem to be at my door.
