Live action version of Fantasia casts The Rock as a broom

Following the success of Beauty and the Beast and Lion King, Disney is pressing forward with a new live action remake – Fantasia.

The first major casting announcement is that The Rock will play one of the brooms.

“This is a picture that stands and falls on the charisma of the brooms,” said producer Diane Stone.

“So, landing The Rock is a big deal.”

Ms Stone took time to confirm which broom The Rock would be playing.

“The beefy one, obviously.”

Interestingly Ms Stone also stated that they would not be using CGI for the broom sequence.

“No, we’re going to use magic for that.

“We’ll have The Rock playing a broom, and then, using magic, we’ll create 2 versions of The Rock playing a broom, and then 4, then 8, and so on.

“Can’t see anything going wrong with that plan.”

Whilst the sight of magical clones of The Rock playing a broom should prove enough of a draw for most people, the sorcerer’s apprentice is only one portion of Fantasia.

“Wait, you mean people are going to expect a live action version of that trippy bit with the orchestra? And wasn’t there something in there with jungle animals or something? We’re going to have to do that?” asked a clearly alarmed Ms Stone.

“You know what? I think we’ll shelve that and do a live action version of A Bug’s Life instead.

“The Rock was born to play an ant.”
