Live action movie adaptation of Tetris, somewhat inevitably, in the works

A live action movie adaptation of Tetris is being planned by Because We Think We Should Productions, fuelled by the game being popular ever since it was invented.

An all-star cast is led by Matt Damon, who plays a block.

Ben Affleck has already signed up to play his best friend, a block.  As has George Clooney – to play a block, Brad Pitt will play a block. Al ‘Block’ Pacino and Val Kilmer are also signed up to play unknown roles, but rumours hint that the roles are as blocks.

They will be supported by a Cecil B. DeMille-esque cast of thousands. All playing blocks who inexplicably disappear at random points in the film where they all happened to have stood in a line.

Executive Producer, Davey Bobrow, said, “This is very exciting for us. We have a very good script by… oh, hang on, that’s a different thing. There is no script whatsoever for this.

“Which, to be honest, we see as a positive.

“Think of all the terrible films you’ve ever seen in your life. What did they have in common? They all had scripts. Not this.

“Everyone loves Tetris, so have every confidence in this picture.

“People went to see the Emoji movie, for goodness sake, so, you know, people are stupid.”
