The promotional tour featuring the cast of the new live-action Lion King movie has resulted in further loss of life after a disastrous and bloody appearance on Graham Norton’s chat show.
Six members of the audience were killed, along with a cameraman and Russell Kane who was, inevitably, promoting a new BBC3 show that you’d imagine someone must watch.
Graham Norton received a severe mauling, but is expected to live.
“Yeah, so I guess that releasing a bunch of lions onto the set of a live TV show is fraught with danger,” admitted director Jon Favreau.
“But, you know, they’re enthusiastic about their performances and fans really want to see them and find out what they’re like.
“I think that it’s worth the ensuing carnage and death.”
Lion King enthusiast Barry Lion King agreed.
“I definitely like seeing what all those lions are really like because, from the trailer and that, they seem amazing, so I want to get to know them a bit.
“If Graham Norton has to lose an arm then I think that’s a price worth paying, and I’m sure he does too.
“He’s a real professional.”
The Graham Norton carnage follows an appearance on James Cordon’s chat show which saw a number of cast and audience injured and a segment on The Ellen DeGeneres Show of which no one survived.
