Killing Eve season 2 sees Eve and Villanelle team up to fight aliens

Reports from America, where it recently made its debut, claim that season 2 of Killing Eve sees Eve and Villanelle team up to battle alien invasion.

The new season had expected to follow the taut psychological battles of the first season, however the opening scenes of episode one feature aliens landing and blowing up the Houses of Parliament, leaving the obsessional Eve and psychopathic Villanelle with no option but to join together to battle the extra-terrestrial threat.

“New Killing Eve awesome,” tweeted ex-Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

“Great to see two strong, believable women working together to battle planetary invasion from a hostile alien force.”

However, it has been suggested that the alien invasion plot line is really rather silly, derivative, and far-fetched, particularly after such a ground-breaking first season.

“Er, hello. Greatest screenwriter of my generation here,” responded Killing Eve creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

“If I decide that alien invasions are where it’s at then who is anyone to argue.

“Now, someone bring me another wheelbarrow full of cash.”

Although season three of Killing Eve has yet to be confirmed, it is rumoured that Waller-Bridge plans another radical change of direction with Eve gaining superpowers after being bitten by a radioactive guinea pig and battling to put a stop to Villanelle’s evil plan to destroy the world.
