Inventor Hedy Lamarr also an actress

Newly discovered papers have revealed that legendary scientist and inventor Hedy Lamarr also acted in a number of films.

Best known for inventing an improved traffic stoplight and a frequency-hopping signal that was a progenitor to Wi-Fi and bluetooth, it appears that she also appeared in a number of Hollywood pictures, sometimes even taking lead roles.

“It’s extraordinary to think of, but it seems that this scientist, this boffin, was also was something of a movie star,” explains Stewart James, a film historian.

“White Cargo, Come Live with Me and so much more. She was in quite a number of pictures.

“It seems incredible to me that we have focused so much on her scientific advancements that her tremendous work in Hollywood has been largely overlooked.

“Of course, the real tragedy her is what Hedy could have achieved if she hadn’t been so distracted by science and inventions and the like.

“She could have been a huge star. It’s a real shame when you think about it.”

The revelations come from newly discovered diaries of director and inventor Howard Hughes who once dated Hedy Lamarr.

“Hedy starred in Heavenly Body today. I said to her that she should tell people. People would be really interested in her film work. But she maintains that people don’t want to hear about that boring movie stuff, they just want to talk science.

“Probably true, certainly I can’t get enough of dating a really clever scientist.”

The revelation comes hot on the heels of the incredible news that much-loved movie star Ronald Reagan also spent several years being President of the United States but didn’t like to talk about it.
