Internet finally concedes all-woman Ghostbusters was actually really funny

Several years after one of the most absurd internet sulks ever seen, everyone has now calmed down and can accept that the all-woman Ghostbusters film was actually really quite good.

When it was announced that in 2015 that a reboot of the 1984 classic would feature four women instead of four men, a huge swathe of the internet had an enormous tantrum and refused to accept that fictional characters who catch fictional supernatural entities could do so at the same time as having vaginas.

However, now having been out for a year, the internet is sheepishly beginning to accept that the initial reaction was really quite silly and that now, having watched the film, it’s actually really funny.

“To be honest, I feel a little embarrassed about tweeting – ‘All-woman Ghostbusters ruined my childhood,’ 2000 times when I first found out,” said internet dweller Dan Murray.

“I mean, if I’d have just sat down and had a little think, I might have realised that a film with Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy is always going to be really funny because they’re both always really funny.”

“When I finally watched it, it really made me laugh.”

After finally calming down, the internet was able to go for several months without making a complete idiot of itself and there was hope that perhaps it had learned it’s lesson after getting all silly over Ghostbusters.
