Gangsters do gangstering in Las Vegas for about nine hours. Robert De Niro is the sensible one, Joe Pesci is the wacky crazy one. They go about doing crimes and having great larks. Robert marries her from Basic Instinct and everything goes bad. A slightly more boring version of Goodfellas with better clothes.

Many people assumed Casino was the sequel to Goodfellas. It wasn’t, it was the sequel to Kevin Costner’s Wyatt Earp.

Most conversations with Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci were improvised, which is why Pesci has a five-minute monologue about the fish fingers he’s having for tea.

The costume budget was $1M. Robert De Niro had 70 costumes made for the film, including a werewolf costume, a set of surgeon scrubs and a space suit.

Joe Pesci, Robert De Niro, and Sharon Stone got on so well on the film that they went on to form the band The Fugees and have several hits.
