The Godfather

Men get increasingly cross with each other for several hours. Al Pacino is Michael, a nice man who never smiles. Someone shoots his dad so he decides to be a horrible man who never smiles. He shoots the people who shot his dad and then goes to live nicely in the country but then, oh no! His car explodes with his current wife in. Still unable to smile he comes home, gets a new wife, kills everyone and then lies to his new wife which, after everything, doesn’t really seem that much of a deal.

Trivia

The Godfather was originally set in space and charted the demise of Darth Corleone and his evil Empire. But George Lucas won the idea from Francis Ford Coppola in a game of poker.

It won 72 Oscars including Best Hats, Nicest Cat, and Best Use of Some Orange Peel

Coppola has denied having anything to do with The Godfather Part III, saying it was created by a someone who looked like him while he was on holiday

Sollozzo was played a young Meryl Streep, who established her chameleonic acting style with the role

Bloopers

After returning from the washroom with the gun, Michael is briefly seen walking through some sort of lost valley of the dinosaurs. However, when he shoots McCluskey and Sollozzo, he is back in the restaurant again.
