A film about the creation of Screen Idle, the Ishtar of online movie sites, could prove to be ‘terrific,’ according to one film expert.

With the ‘popular’ website celebrating its anniversary and still receiving literally some hits every day, industry rumours are rife that the story of its creation could well be made into a movie.

“I think that it would be terrific,” said Neil Tollfree, a noted film expert who has years of experience flicking through Empire magazine on the toilet, so definitely knows what he’s talking about.

“The story of how one man figured out that there were actually two different versions of WordPress and it was really important not to get the two of them mixed up.

“Then, how that man’s friend set up a Twitter account.

Tollfree leaned back in his chair, relishing the possibility of seeing the story on the big screen.

“That’s just the beginning, you could then go on to show how Screen Idle went on to produce way too many articles about Star Wars, Marvel and how funny it would be if an unlikely thing became a musical.

“Magical.”

He was clear about who should take the lead role.

“I would suggest that they got one of those machines from The Fly and run Leonardo DiCaprio and George Clooney through it at the same time.

“The resulting combination is the only living creature with both the looks and charisma to pull it off.

“I can only hope that there’s a big shot Hollywood producer with the guts to make what would be a genuinely touching, exciting and funny picture.

“If he’s reading, note that there is the Contact page on the website.”

Neil Tollfree is the proprietor of Screen Idle and is fiercely objective in his opinions.
