A rumour that the third in the Bad Boys series of films is no longer cancelled and will be going ahead has been met by a near universal wave of politely feigned enthusiasm.
Bad Boys 3 will to feature the return of detectives Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett and follow the familiar template of the pair getting into a variety of scrapes with sexy, sexy ladies and insisting just a little bit too much that there is no homosexual attraction between them.
“Bad Boys 3 back on?” Said one industry insider, politely.
“Oh, that is great news. Well, good news. News, its definitely news. Excuse me, I have to go and buy some shoelaces.”
However, with others, the façade crumbled a little
“They’re making Bad Boys 3? Why would anyone-“ exclaimed a well-known director, before catching himself and politely feigning anticipation.
“I mean, oh how tremendous, I am so looking forward to Bad Boys 3. I can’t wait to see Joe Pantoliano as a hilarious grouchy Captain shouting at the two detectives for comedic effect.”
As Bad Boys 3 still remains an unconfirmed rumour, there is the possibility that it could be proven false and that an announcement could be made to the effect that Bad Boys 3 has been cancelled.
This is expected to be met with politely feigned disappointment.
