Everyone politely feigning disappointment that Bad Boys 3 may not happen

A rumour that the third in the Bad Boys series of films is to be cancelled has been met by a near universal wave of politely feigned disappointment.

Bad Boys 3 was to feature the return of detectives Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett and follow the familiar template of the pair getting into a variety of scrapes with sexy, sexy ladies and insisting just a little bit too much that there is no homosexual attraction between them.

“Bad Boys 3 cancelled?” Said one industry insider, politely.

“Oh, that is a shame isn’t it. Hmm, yes, what a tremendous pity. Excuse me, I have to go and buy some shoelaces.”

However, with others, the façade crumbled a little

“They were making Bad Boys 3? Why would anyone-“ exclaimed a well-known director, before catching himself and politely feigning disappointment

“I mean, oh no, what a terrible shame, I was so looking forward to Bad Boys 3. I can’t believe I won’t see Joe Pantoliano as a hilarious grouchy Captain shouting at the two detectives for comedic effect.”

As the cancellation of Bad Boys 3 is currently just a rumour, there is the possibility that it could be proven false and that an announcement could be made to the effect that the production of Bad Boys 3 will go ahead.

This is expected to be met with politely feigned anticipation.
