Film star and world’s most awesome man – Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson – is best known for his hit movie roles and for being awesome, but did you know that he is also a world-renowned baker of hot cross buns?

The Scorpion King star first became aware of hot cross buns after visiting London to attend an international conference on being awesome that happened to fall over the Easter period.

“Man, he just loved those British buns,” said a close personal friend of The Rock.

However, on returning to his swanky mansion in glamorous LA, Johnson was disappointed to find that local stores didn’t stock the famous British delicacy.

“He eventually did manage to pick up some from an artisan bakery,” continued the friend.

“But they were shit.”

So the Rock set about learning how to make hot cross buns, and he did it the only way he knew how – awesomely.

“He watched a whole bunch of Mary Berry on YouTube and became obsessed with her buns.

“After he’d perfected those, he worked on his own buns, he worked on his buns day and night, all he thought about were his buns.”

Finally, The Rock was happy he’d made the best hot cross bun he could make and he entered it into the World Hot Cross Bun competition.

“You know, he’s the biggest movie star on the planet, and he’s won a whole bunch of wrestling trophies, but I don’t think any of that means as much to Dwayne as winning that hot cross bun competition for the first time.”

Since that first time, the Race to Witch Mountain star has dominated the competition, winning for the past three years and almost certain to win again this year.

It seems that people simply can’t get enough of Dwayne Johnson’s buns.

Next week, I’ll tell you which Hollywood star exists only in a parallel dimension.

Mole out.

Screen Idle would like to make it clear that this article was definitely not a cheap excuse to use the word ‘buns’ in a faintly suggestive manner.

We’re insulted that you’d think such a thing.
