Captain America 4 to see Sam on desperate search for decent Captain America costume

Anthony Mackie will play Captain America 4 in a silly costume

Captain America 4 has been announced and will follow on directly from Falcon and the Winter Soldier as Sam goes on a desperate search to find a Captain America costume that doesn’t make him look stupid.

“Well, obviously we’re not keeping that costume, it makes his head look really weird,” said Marvel producer Kevin Feige.

“I mean, you can’t have a helmet which leaves the top of your head bare. Not only would it make Sam really vulnerable to blows to the head, but it sort of makes him look like he’s going bald. Obviously, that costume’s just a set up for Captain America 4.”

The new film will explain that the costume was created for Sam by rogue members of Hydra to make him look a bit silly. Once Sam discovers what has happened, he begins a desperate chase to find someone to make him a costume that doesn’t look like it was made by a fourteen-year-old boy with a casual disregard for the dangers of head injury.

Along the way, he must take down the rogue Hydra cell and make it safe for any new superheroes to have a costume made that looks both sensible and practical.

“We’re really excited to be focusing on evil tailoring,” continued Feige.

“It’s something that Marvel hasn’t dealt with in the past. But what happens when the people who make superhero costumes go bad? The answer is that new Captain America costume. How do we deal with bad superhero costumes? This new film will explore exactly that.”

Captain America 4: Are you really serious about that costume? will form part of the upcoming Marvel phase 4 series of films.

The Last Waltz to be remade with Maroon 5, Justin Bieber and Rhianna

Martin Scorsese’s classic documentary of The Band’s last ever concert – The Last Waltz – is to be remade for a modern audience with Maroon 5 taking the role of The Band and guests including Justin Bieber, Rhianna, and an awful lot if popstars you’ve never heard of.

“Well obviously, the Last Waltz is a tremendous picture,” said producer Kathleen Howard

“But it has it problems. I mean, there are no really hip hop dance routines, unless you count Van Morrison’s high kicks during Caravan.

“Imagine if, during ‘Further on down the road,’ instead of a boring guitar solo, they’d broken the song down to the beat and brought on a troop of sexy ladies to do a sexy hip hop dance. It could have really worked.”

“Neil Young, I love Neil Young, but he has a really problem with singing so we could have really improved that with a Daft Punk style vocoder”

The remake will feature all the artists miming to prerecorded backing tracks and will take place in a big soulless arena that doesn’t serve beer. It will be distributed exclusively via YouTube.

“We just want to bring it up to date for a modern audience,” said Ms Howard

“And if we can annoy the sort of people who don’t like young girls wearing Black Sabbath T-shirt because ‘they don’t even know one Sabbath song’ then all the better”
