‘Barbara Windsor bending over a lot’ – Easter Film Guide

It’s Easter, so according to the bible, you have to eat your entire bodyweight in egg-shaped chocolate

While you’re doing that, why not watch these top Easter films.

Good Friday

Carry On at Your Convenience ITV3 19.15

Searing indictment of post-war industrial relations, and Barbara Windsor bending over a lot

Back to the Future ITV2 17.40

Marty travels back to 1955 to try and find a way back to 1985.

Twilight MTV1 21.00

Vampire Batman and Vampire Lady Di mope about to bad emo music

Fine Saturday

Good Will Hunting AMC 23.10

Matt Damon does hard sums while Ben Affleck looks confused.

Robin Williams deservedly won an Oscar for best beard.

Sister Act 5* 21.00

Nuns on the Run with better tunes.

Cocktail 5* 23.05

Tom Cruise throws bottles about for two hours. Fails to pour a decent pint of mild though, so wouldn’t be welcome in my local.

This would make such a good double bill with Road House (What wouldn’t, amirite? But thematically, this would be very satisfying).

Decent Sunday

Spectre ITV2 20.00

James Bond murders everyone and gets off with someone half his age. I mean, I haven’t seen it, but it’s a fair bet, isn’t it?

Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol Comedy Central 21.00

Follow up to Mission: Impossible – Vampire Protocol. Soon to be followed up by Mission: Impossible – Zombie Protocol.

Carry On Cleo ITV3 18.25

You could spend the entire weekend on ITV3 watching nothing but Carry On Films which, I think, is the true meaning of Easter
