Apocalypse Now: Final Cut to feature extra four hours of Martin Sheen drinking

A new ‘Final Cut’ of Apocalypse Now has been announced which, it is understood, will feature an extra four hours of Martin Sheen drinking.

Famously, an early scene in the film features a genuinely inebriated Sheen have a fight with a hotel mirror before going on his boat trip.

“You know, it took four hours for Martin to get wasted enough to have a convincing fight with a mirror,” explained director Francis Ford Coppola.

“It would be a hell of a shame if that footage was never seen by anyone else.”

It is understood that the four hours of newly inserted footage will feature Sheen have two beers and start to speak a bit too loudly for the room.

Around his fourth beer he tells a long, rambling joke and forgets the punchline.

After six beers he gives a word-perfect rendition of Abba’s Mamma Mia before falling over.

He then moves onto the whisky and spends 20 minutes sobbing uncontrollably.

After three hours Sheen claims that he’s ‘drunk himself sober now’ and could ‘probably drive if he wanted to.’

Shortly afterwards he can be heard vomiting copiously.

Having finished all the whisky Sheen is seen telling an off-screen member of the crew that they’re ‘hot’

He then demands more whisky and when it isn’t forthcoming, he begins the fight with the mirror that can be seen in the film.

“It’s great. Super intense,” claims Coppola.

Fans will be pleased to know that he has no intention of stopping there.

“Hell no. I got a ‘Super Director’s Final Super Cut’ planned,” he said.

“It’ll feature an extra six hours of just men sitting on a boat in the jungle.”
