TV/Film ‘satire’ blog cobbles together something desperate about ‘The Traitors’ for clicks

A TV/Film ‘satire’ blog on its last legs has today cobbled together something half-assed about TV sensation The Traitors in a desperate attempt to seem relevant and get a few clicks.

The so-called ‘article’ offered no real insight into the programme, but did mention The Traitors as a phrase enough times to register with the search engines and then possibly appear when people google The Traitors.

“Look, I’ll level with you. These are lean times for TV/Film satire blogs,” said blog creator, handsome man and all round nice guy Neil Tollfree.

“Facebook only shows people what it thinks they’d like to read, rather than what they’ve said they definitely want to read. Twitter’s just this morass of pornbots and shouting. It’s really hard for any satire articles to pick up any traction and get shared around the internet.

“The only thing we can really do is latch on to whatever craze is bubbling along at any one time. In this case, everyone’s banging on about The Traitors, so we need to come up with something for that.”

Tollfree even freely admitted to never having seen the show.

“No. No, not my cup of tea, really. I know there’s that Claudia Winkleman and her fringe, something about a castle. The new Gladiators is good though, much more my sort of thing.”

The article in question, despite purporting to be about The Traitors, actually seemed to be a self-pitying sort of affair about how difficult it is to get people to read your blog and, frankly, is best avoided.
