Following news that a 90s rap mixtape from Tom Hardy has been posted on Bandcamp comes the discovery of a Tom Hardy Mongolian throat singing mixtape.
The mixtape contains the versatile actor performing a number of tracks including what appears to be a Mongolian throat singing cover of Pulp’s Common People.
“It was a time in my life when I was just trying out different ways to be me,” said the Bane star.
“Like a lot of artists, I went through a number of ways to express myself before settling on acting.
“Rap was something I tried – many people thought I could be the white Vanilla Ice – but ultimately it wasn’t for me.
“Then I dabbled briefly in Mongolian throat singing. You know, it was interesting. I’ve no problem with the mixtape being out there. It probably wasn’t the best Mongolian throat singing I did, but, whatever.”
The Mad Max hunk went on to reveal that he also tried his hand at Norwegian black metal, space-folk, and even a number of medieval madrigals.
“Obviously, I’m an international film star now,“ laughed Tom, handsomely.
“That’s my life. That said, if any record companies are interested in the Mongolian throat singing, then I could probably find time for a recording session.”
Fans can only hope that it all comes together and that Mongolian throat singing with Tom Hardy is in the shops for this Christmas.
