‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri’ sequel ‘Four Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri’ announced

‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri’ sequel ‘Four Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri’ has been confirmed by producers and will begin filming next year.

“This is a hugely exciting sequel that will expand the expand the story told in the original by, well, 25%,” explained producer Kelly Grace.

The plot was still in the early stages of development.

“The first picture was terrific, but it really didn’t focus enough on the billboards. People would go and see it and would be moved by the tragedy of Francis McDormand and her family, but would be a little disappointed that there wasn’t really that much about billboards.

“The sequel is much more about the billboards, so there’ll be this a new billboard appears outside Ebbing, Missouri and everyone in town is like – ‘woah, now there’s four billboards, we’ve got so many billboards’ – and then you’ve got other towns near Ebbing, Missouri who are all like – ‘why have they got so many billboards? It’s so unfair.’

“We’re still buttoning down the details, but we really want to highlight the paucity of billboard space in small-town America because it’s a scandal really.”

Billboard fans were excited

“A ‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri’ sequel?! Well, this is terribly exciting,” exclaimed Stewart James, President of the Billboard Association of America.

“I wonder what will be on that fourth billboard? Because billboards can be used for many different purposes. Perhaps an advertisement for some nice cakes? Some local municipal information? Personally, I’m hoping for a promotional message for the use of billboards.

“I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.”

It is expected that should ‘Four Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri’ be a success then it will be followed by ‘Five Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri’ and then, some years later by a series of disappointing prequels that let everyone down.
