The Eternals to ‘redefine MCU’ by having people in brightly coloured costumes punching each other

People dressed in brightly coloured costumes

Kevin Feige has predicted that new film The Eternals will redefine the MCU by having people in brightly coloured costumes punching other people in brightly coloured costumes.

“You’ve never seen anything like it,” he said, unconvincingly.

“We’ve flipped everything on it’s head, and turned everything upside down. You’ve never seen a Marvel picture like this.

“There’s these guys, and they’re dressing up in outlandish, really brightly coloured costumes, and then they go and punch each other.

“Occasionally, in between the punching, they’ll say amusing quips to each other, then they’ll do a bit more punching.

“This is going to blow people’s minds.”

MCU fans were excited, if a little wary.

“Woah. What? People in brightly coloured costumes punching each other? I don’t know if I can get my head round that,” tweeted @ironpants.

Stewart James is a long-standing Marvel fan.

“I don’t know, man. After 20 or so Marvels films, I think that doing something as radical as having a film about people in brightly-coloured costumes punching each other might be too much, you know? I’ll probably go and see it, but I’m not convinced this new direction is really for me.”

However, despite fan reservations, Kevin Feige is determined to continue changing things up, with the next Marvel film Spider-Man: No Way Home promising to be a ‘huge departure’ for the franchise by having people punching each other while wearing slightly brighter brightly coloured costumes.
