Terry and June to join The Avengers

In a surprise announcement, it has been revealed that eighties sitcom stalwarts Terry and June will be joining the Avengers.

A forthcoming Avengers sequel entitled Whoops Vicar, it’s the Avengers sees the Earth’s greatest heroes relocate to the suburbs of London in the mid-eighties.

Captain America’s offer to help out with the church fete sets events in motion.

Crisis hits early on as Iron Man’s iron trousers fall down just as the Vicar knocks on the door to finalise plans for the tombola.

With everyone else out, and Black Widow’s bras drying in the hallway, answering the door seems impossible.

Step forward Terry and June.

Seeing the crisis immediately, June leads the Vicar round to the patio for a nice cool glass of barley water, while Terry entertains him with an amusing anecdote about the office.

The delay gives Iron Man chance to put on his iron trousers and move Black Widow’s bras into the upstairs spare room.

“Hey, that’s just the start of what Terry and June can bring to the Avengers,” explained Marvel boss Kevin Feige.

“There’s Thor who wants to join the superhero golf club, so Terry and June throw an impressive dinner party for club chairman Nick Fury.

“Hawkeye is directing the local amateur dramatic performance of The Importance of being Earnest and so Terry and June agree to do prompting and props.

“If I’m honest, it seems pretty hard to understand how the Avengers ever got by without Terry and June.”

Whilst Terry and June becoming Avengers has been confirmed, reports that the redcoats of Maplins and Frank Spencer will be joining them are obviously inaccurate and should be disregarded.
