20th Century Fox to rebrand as ‘Wicked Sexy Cool Films’

Disney has announced that the recently acquired studio 20th Century Fox is to be rebranded as ‘Wicked Sexy Cool Films.’

“It was ‘Fox’ that was the problem,” explained Disney executive Kelly Grace.

“It didn’t mean anything. Who wants to go and see a film from a studio named after some crazy woodland dog? Nuts.”

The decision to remove the word ‘Fox’ was settled on and simply call the studio ‘20th Century Films,’ but there was a problem.

“It’s not the twentieth century anymore!” laughed Ms Grace.

“I know, is that crazy or what! Turns out someone screwed up two thousand years ago and started counting the centuries a hundred years too early and no one noticed until it was too late.”

So, instead of ‘20th Century Films,’ Ms Grace and her team set about rebranding.

“Man, we kicked round a bunch of ideas,” she said.

“’Really Neat Films,’ ‘Hey, You Want to See Some Films,’ ‘The Awesome Film People,’ ‘Wow Films!’ ‘Film Studio’ – too literal, ‘Sweet Sweetback’s Badassssss Films’ – copyright issues, ‘Ooo, They’re Nice Films,’ ‘Filmy McFilmface’ – inevitably.

“Then, finally, Lenny said ‘Wicked Sexy Cool Films’ – and it was great! Who wouldn’t go a film from ‘Wicked Sexy Cool Films?’ No one, that’s who.

“So, we all finished drinking and went home.”

All new films from the studio will be branded as ‘Wicked Sexy Cool Films’ from this year onwards.

Rumours that Disney intend to change Marvel Studios to ‘Shouty Men in Snazzy Costumes Studios’ are unconfirmed.
