Sexy walking to finally be recognised by the Academy with new award

After years of campaigning by actors with really sexy walks, sexy walking is to finally be given its own award at the Oscars.

“Sexy walking is a particularly distinctive talent that requires focus, poise and years of dedication,” explained Michelle Pfeiffer, who is best known for her sexy walking in The Fabulous Baker Boys.

“Without sexy walking in films, we would just have normal walking and anyone can do normal walking, you just have to leave your house to see people doing normal walking.”

Denzel Washington, who has done a great deal of sexy walking throughout his career, agreed.

“Take Man on Fire, it’s a great picture, but I think it’s elevated by the amount of times that you see me sexily walking. Sometimes I do sexy walking while an explosion is going off behind me, now that is a very specialised skill. Jason Statham? The Rock? Oh yeah, they can do a walk in front of an explosion, but a sexy walk? No way. It’s something I’ve worked really hard at.”

The Oscar for Doing a Sexy Walk will debut next year, although many people claim that Catherine Zeta-Jones actually received her Best Supporting Actress award in 2002 principally for doing a sexy walk.

Early favourites for the award are Brad Pitt in F1, Pedro Pascal in Fantastic Four and the fox from Zootropolos 2.
