Sam Smith makes world’s first sexually provocative music video

Leading pop star Sam Smith has caused shock and outrage by making the world’s first ever sexually provocative music video.

The video for I’m Not Here To Make Friends features Smith dressed in a number of outlandish costumes, one or two of which are quite revealing, and then cavorting or ‘dancing’ with other people in outlandish costumes.

“This is quite literally the most outrageous thing I’ve ever seen in pop music, and I think it should be banned, or at least only ever played with a banner across the screen stating it’s not suitable for anyone under the age of 40 and a loud warning siren playing at all times,” said Stewart James, a professional outraged person who’s seen at least 12 other pop videos.

“There has literally never been anything like it before and I think that, unless we do something, then society will literally collapse into a degenerate sea of immorality with everyone just walking around in their pants doing things to each other.”

The video has proved so shocking to people because up until now, all music videos have been modest, serious affairs. Madonna, one of the biggest stars of the eighties, famously only performed in her videos wearing pretty ankle-length dresses and Frankie Goes to Hollywood wore nice Aron sweaters and Farahs for their hit video Relax (When You Want to Come).

Up until Smith’s video, the most sexually provocative music video of all time was Britney Spears I’m a Slave 4 U which features Spears in sensible trousers and a heavy shirt, but with the top button of the shirt shockingly unbuttoned for a brief period.

The controversy over Smith’s video is likely to continue for some time, particularly following news that Ex-Radio 1 DJ Mike Read, after having watched the video, is understood to have exploded.
