Relief that Backdraft sequel finally announced

There was relief at the news that a sequel to 1991 Fire Engine classic Backdraft has been confirmed.

The original featured numerous men with nicknames like ‘Bison’ and ‘Slab’ running out of burning buildings in slow motion whilst clutching a baby.

The sequel is expected to feature different men running out of burning buildings in slow motion whilst clutching a baby.

Fans are excited.

“I’m excited,” said a fan.

“I mean, it’s the film that we’ve all been waiting for 27 years.

“I think it’s going to work brilliantly for a modern audience because, if you think about it, things being on fire is still really relevant in 2018, isn’t it?”

He also predicted that the film would be a hit.

“Well, I run the Backdraft appreciation society group on Facebook, and there’s 113 of us.

“There was 114, but I had to expel one woman for saying that the Donald Sutherland character was shit.

“Anyway, out of the 113 of us, we’re all going to see the sequel, so that’s 100%. I mean, I expect that for people who aren’t in the Backdraft appreciation society group on Facebook, that percentage won’t be quite as high, but even if it drops as low as 50% for people who aren’t in the group then that’s still three and a half billion.

“Which is pretty good for a sequel to a Billy Baldwin film from 1991.”

There is still no word on a sequel to 1991 classic Sleeping With the Enemy, but if Backdraft 2 is on the way, literally anything is possible.
