The latest in the Predator franchise – Predator: Badlands – has the Predator and his young girlfriend go on the run in the midwest states after going on a violent killing spree.
“Yeah, it’s Predator meets Terrence Malick, I make no apologies about that. It’s my tribute to his astonishing body of work, except with a big alien in,” explained director Dan Trachtenberg.
“I, like many film fans, have often wondered what would happen if you took the lyrical poetry of something like Badlands, and put the Predator in it. With Predator: Badlands, we find out.”
The film begins in a run-down town in the midwest, a young teenage girls angers her father when she starts dating the Predator. A conflict between the girl and her father ends in the Predator hunting the father through the farm and woodland until the alien eviscerates him.
The couple then flee through the Badlands of Montana, their crime spree escalating as they go.
“I think I’ve made a beautiful and elegiac film that can stand with the best of Malick, but with the Predator in it,” said Trachtenberg.
Should the film prove a success, then the next Predator film will be Predator: Wild Strawberries, in tribute to the works of Ingmar Bergman, and then followed by Predator: Howards End, inspired by the Merchant Ivory films.

As a longtime predator fan i hope this is satire… if they made predator into a love story in anyway shape or form itll be the worst predator movie of all times hands down

I’m not even bothering with shitty film I once loved this equality shit is what this comes to typical of the female side of there shitty lives now they’ve spoilt one of the best franchise ever built
