Sony has announced that it’s PlayStation Classic console will be given away for free in packets of Frosties.
Only the large Kilogram boxes of Frosties will qualify and the console will come in a simple plastic wrapping towards the bottom of the cereal.
“Obviously, we were tremendously pleased with sales of the PlayStation Classic,” said Playstation boss John Kodera
“I understand the twelve people who own one really quite enjoyed it for the fifteen minutes or so they played with it after Christmas Dinner.”
“However, now is the time to really get this into as many houses as we can, and not just because we need the space in our storerooms, but because we really want as many people as possible to enjoy this system.”
Mr Kodera denied that giving the console away in boxes of Frosties was emblematic of just how much of a failure it has been.
“Are you crazy? Failure? You know how many people eat Frosties? This could have the biggest install base of any games console in history. This is just another example of Sony innovation.
It is understood that the first person to eat enough Frosties to get to the free PlayStation Classic was Stewart James, a nine-year-old from Chelmsford, Essex, who stared at the Frostie covered console for a moment before pushing it aside and commenting that he wished it was a Hot Wheels instead.
